ABOUT THE COMPANY

RHAND Credit Union was established on the 27th March, 1947.

HOW CAN I JOIN?

If you fall within any of the following groups, you are eligible to join RHAND
Persons employed or holding salaried posts in the Public Service, Statutory Authority or such other quasi-governmental body as the Board may from time to time determine.
Employees of the Society
Adult children of employees (i.e. 18 years and over)
Spouse of members
Nominees or beneficiaries of deceased members

Registration is easy!
Simply complete and submit an application form for approval. Your completed application form should include:

Relevant documentation (i.e. birth or marriage certificate) to show proof of relation to member in the case of adult children or spouses of current members.
The name of your beneficiary
The signature of two witnesses, not necessarily a member of RHAND. (Please note that your named beneficiary can not be one of the witnesses on this application.
The name of your recommender who must be a member of the credit union.
Ten dollars (TT$10,00): TT$5.00 for administrative fees and TT$5.00 for purchase of one share to initiate the account.
A salary deduction form, which specifies the funds to be withdrawn from your salary for the purchase of shares, savings deposits, etc. Once your application is approved, an account number is assigned and you will be advised in writing.

General banking economics & financial services for our members.
Membership Skills Development Programme
Fondly called the MSDP programme, it was first introduced in 1989, in an effort to improve the skills of our members, with a view to affording them the opportunity to earn additional income.

DURATION	Each module runs for fourteen weeks, and classes are usually held once per week from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Courses are offered twice per year, in March/April and in July/August.
REGISTRATION	Courses are advertised in the media and forms are available at the credit union office or distributed by liaison officers. Participants are accepted based on a first come, first served basis. The fee is currently one hundred dollars (TT$100.00)

CERTIFICATION	Certificates of Participation are awarded to each participant provided that they attend at least 75% of the classes. Bonus shares are offered to the participant who excels in each course.
DISPLAY	The graduation function incorporates a display of items made by the students, providing an opportunity for them to sell their items, distribute their business cards/flyers and establish future business contacts.
